The Reef Studios, located in Downtown Oakland, is a community-driven production and recording studio. 

We specialize in producing, engineering, recording, and releasing music 

while also offering educational programs to teach music creation to the youth. 

we believe that, much like a coral reef, our community thrives when we collaborate and support one another, creating a vibrant and dynamic environment for all.

  • Founder, Co-Owner, Engineer & Educator

    Jarin Tindall is an experienced audio-visual professional, mixing engineer, and dedicated educator. He is the founder of Reef Studios, where he leads various audio projects and initiatives. Jarin has a strong background in project management and community engagement, with a commitment to mentoring and educating the next generation of audio professionals.


  • Co-Owner, Producer, Educator

    Bear has been a multi-instrumentalist producer and composer in the Bay Area for 10 years. He has worked on documentaries, podcasts, and produced work for acts local and nationwide. Currently Bear has been the Reef with schools, organizations, and studios to help operations, curriculum, and provide production for youth.
